6th Year Anniversary!

Jason arranged a beautiful 6th year anniversary.  Staying in the Grand America was indeed GRAND!  After our adventure ended at the state fair and we were all loaded up, my sister Stacee took the kids for the night so Jason and I could enjoy a night out alone.   Jason had the room ready with dinner (he had filet mignon, and I had salmon) and a dozen red roses.  It was so nice to relax and enjoy.   The following morning we ate at the Garden Cafe and enjoyed an amazing brunch.  Thanks Jason for planning such an amazing anniversary.  I love you so much!

Utah State Fair 2012

When state fair time rolls around we are always worn down on sled pulling.  So its nice to beable to go to an event where the kids have so much fun.  They were able to love on some baby pigs
 love on a baby cow
 Dayton walked on water
 See a huge Jersey Cow!!
Ride some tractors at the FFA booth

get some wool off of a sheep
and graduate as a Future Farmer of America!
State fair is also fun because so many family member show up.  We stay more than entertained while Jason does his pulling stuff.

Dayton preschool

Dayton is getting back into the swing of things with preschool.  He seems to be more excited about the second week of school compared to his first.  He seems to size up with the kids better this year than he has in previous years.

Jace School Week 2

Jace is still loving his library time preschool.  I still am amazed and cant get over how easy he is to take there.   He pays attention, doesnt get distracted, and listens to the teacher.

Firsts and Last First Days of school.

Today was Daytons LAST first day of Preschool, and Jace's first day of Shop school and library story time school.   Dayton was happy as usual to go to Preschool.  When he got in the car after preschool was over he acted so bored with it.  I hope I did the right thing by holding him back.   I asked him if he wants me to put him in kindergarten right now and he still says no.  So i will trust in what Dayton tells me he wants.  Who knows, maybe he was so glum because it was a full class of kids he doesnt know.  We will see. I wont lie though, I'm super worried.
Jace was really exicted for Library Story time school.   He was so well behaved I didn't know what to do with myself.  When Dayton was this age he was crazy and all over the place.  Jace sat quietly and listened to the teacher read the books and helped answer questions.  Jace will go to Story time Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  Tuesdays is the class where its for kids 0-3 so today it felt like he was so old compared to all the babies crying.  Tomorrow it should be better cause its kids 3-5.   Hopefully overtime the class wont be so full!  We are used to library time having 7 or 8 kids.  This almost 25 kids was definiatly chaos.  Good thing Jace is a tropper.   Dayton went to Jace's library time because it was 30 minutes before Dayton's school started.   Jace went to shop school too! (I am just doing a small 30 minute lesson here at the shop for Jace to get more learning in)  Jace learned the color red, circles, and apples!  Its fun to teach him because he is calm, and he says and does the funniest things.   Today he only wanted to paint with brown not the color red because brown was the color of his poop!   So we had a red and brown painted apple and circle!

Family Weekend Visitors.

This past weekend, my Mom, Stacee, Macade and Shae came up to Rock Springs.  They showed up late on Friday night.  Saturday Jason took the 3 boys (Dayton, Jace, and Macade) and Shae out to the sand dunes.  My Mom, Stacee and I stayed in town and enjoyed a relaxing day of shopping, going out to eat, getting manicures and pedicures, a movie and a board game.
On Sunday we ate breakfast, did a few house chores, went to the park and then we went out to lunch.  My kids loved having their cousin Macade around.  They were super sad when he left. (The picture of Dayton and Macade was them saying good byes) I was also super sad when my mom and my sisters left.  I love having company.  It's so wonderful to stay put and let people come to us.  I feel like we are so busy every weekend it was just nice to stay home.  Thanks you guys for coming up.  It must become a monthly tradition ASAP!

Labor day 2012

We had a really calm and fun Labor day weekend this year.  We just headed out to our local sand dunes.   The kids rode and rode their four wheeler..  Dayton in the picture above is giving Jace a lesson on how to go fast.
They boys got to pick out their favorite snack food and enjoyed it at every moment they weren't riding.
Dayton even built his own fire pit.  He spend a long time looking for all the rocks to go around it.
This is Jace coming home after our first day at the sand dunes.  We didn't even make it out of the parking area and this is how he looked.  Now that is called being tired!
On day 2 at the sand dunes, the kids did some four wheeler sled pulls.  They did some serious wheelies too!  Jace is in the picture above with the blue shirt and Dayton is in the picture below with the light grey shirt.

After a total of 3 days at the sand dunes we were pooped!  We played to our hearts content and when we were done... we were DONE!
