Halloween 2013

Jace had his first school party this year.  He was so excited to get to go around trick or treating to all the professors.
Dayton had a great time at his school party.

Rhett was able to have a great time going to both of his brothers parties.  The best part of Halloween for him was defiantly the suckers.  He is just so happy when he has one in his hand.

Dayton's Kindergarten Pictures

Look how big my little boy is getting!  I can hardly face it that he is 6 years old and getting school pictures taken now.  I didn't know it was picture day, so if you are wondering why his hair isn't done... well that's why.

Carving pumpkins 2013

I have never dreaded carving pumpkins or Halloween or the holidays like I am right now.  We just got back from a 10 day trip and there is so much to do and the last thing I want to think about is making a mess.  But I guess sometimes you just have to suck it up and do it anyways.  This year were able to carve the pumpkins that I grew out of my garden.   The boys were excited and I love seeing them happy.
Rhett decided he wanted to help get out the guts in the pumpkin

scary faces all around!

Jace is 4!!

Right after Mom's funeral we got to work and put Jace on a 4th birthday party.  It was a crummy deal for Jace....but it was good for everyone especially me.  It gave us an opportunity to get our mind off things and get back to life.      Jace is such a good little boy.  He is my easy child.  No matter what is happening, Jace is always the easy good boy that everyone volunteers to take.  He is a big help around the house and minds really well.  He is a big boy!  He is always wearing a size up from his age.  So right now instead of wearing a 4t, he is in a 5t.  Jace is a sweetie pie and a quiet shy guy around people he doesn't know.  Jaces birthday party was on the 26th.

For his birthday party we went to Jack and Jill's in Lehi where we were able to go bowling and lazer tagging.   Lots of family was able to be there where everyone was in town for Moms funeral.

Jace was spoiled with gifts!  It is so fun to see his face light up opening all of his presents.
On the actual day of Jaces birthday we spent the day driving back home.   But before we headed that way we took him to Texas roadhouse for a steak.  He got to sit on the saddle and eat ice cream. His at home birthday request was that we play the game of Life and then we gave him some presents that we had at home for him.

Happy Birthday Jace!  We love you more than words cans say!

Moms Funeral

Mom had an amazing Funeral.  Before the funeral there was a viewing again.  The viewing line was so long it went outside and we actually had to turn people away because we were going to be late for the actual funeral to start.
The Service was filled full of the spirit just as mom wanted.
After the Dedication of the Grave was finished.  Paul and Alania Shepherd said a few remarks and then we let all the grand kids give Grandma one more rose.

Here is a picture of Moms 8 grandsons all together.

After the cemetery we headed to the lake shore church were lunch was served.  Lunch dragged on and we were emotionally spent after such a crazy day.  We were excited when the luncheon was over and we could do other things and put our minds to something else.   This week has marked on of the longest weeks of my life. Also one of the hardest.  I think mom was proud of us that we pulled it off and we did such a great job with all of the arrangements.   Mom will forever be in our hearts and this isn't the end.

Moms Viewing

Mom had a beautiful viewing.  The green, yellow and blue flower arrangement was from the boys.   It was so cute and it was so little boy with the stems sticking out the bottom
This arrangement was the "Sister" Bouquet.
This is the arrangement from my sisters and I.  the banner says "Mom"
This is the arrangement from Grandma and Grandpa Shepherd.  Their banner said "Daughter"

Janalynn Kofford did moms casket piece.  It was so pretty.  There are over 150 red roses in this bouquet.  It was big and beautiful just how mom would have liked it.

This flower arrangement pulled at my heart strings and brought tears to everyone eyes.  This is the arrangement that United Truck and Tractor pullers gave to my mom.  It was beautiful and so thoughtful!

So many people came to see Mom.  We didn't know half of the people that waited in line to see Mom.  She was so loved by everyone.  The line was constant all night and lasted for 4 hours.
