Special Gifts to Grandma

Friday was busy doing last minute things.  My boys were so thoughtful.  While I was getting dressed the boys were outside picking flowers to give to grandma.  They are so sweet and they are always thinking ahead.

Dayton the night before had colored Grandma a letter to give to her also.  It was full of heart and love.  Jace also colored a picture but he didn't remember it.

The letter said "I Love you Grandma"  and then it said  "Dayton"
We arrived at the Funeral home for the viewing an hour and a half early.  Moms hair was done today and her makeup was finished. The boys were so excited to see her.  The wanted to touch her and to hug her.  They wanted to hold her hand.  We were warned that it could be really scary for a child to touch a cold body, so we didn't let them touch her skin.  Only her clothes.  Dayton and Jace talked to Grandma.  They could see her and she looked great.  They had a hard time understanding that she wasn't going to wake up.

They were very reverent while they were having their alone time with Grandma.   They loved her so much.

Normally hands really bother me when I go to viewings.  They always look fake and they have way too much makeup on them.  This wasn't the case with Moms.  Her hands looked great!   The looked especially beautiful holding the flowers my boys picked for her.
