My little one at 17 weeks

-By week 17, My baby weighs about 4.97 ounces (140gm) and is 5.12 inches (13cm) long.
-He or she has a much more normal "human" appearance now.
-She/He holds her head more erect and her/his body and limbs are longer in proportion to her head.
-Pads are forming on Her/His tiny fingertips and toes. Soon those individual swirls and whorls will be apparent.
-Her/His eyes are looking forward now, but they are still firmly closed.
-Meconium (composed of products of cell loss, digestive secretion and swallowed amniotic fluid), is accumulating in the bowel. This black gooey substance will become my baby's first poop!
-The umbilical cord is growing thicker and stronger and continues to rush blood and nutrients to my growing baby.
-If my child is a male the prostate begins to develop.
-Her/His skeleton is transforming from cartilage to bone. The bones remain flexible to make the journey through the birth canal easier.

Memorial Day Weekend

For our Memorial Day weekend we spent our time in Utah. On Saturday we went up to the Gateway in SLC and we took Dayton to the Discovery Gateway. Dayton loved, let me say that again..LOVED it! This is Dayton picking his veggies!
This is Dayton at the same place but learning about a helicopter, his uncle Jeremy would be so proud! Saturday evening we went out to dinner with my Dad and Jason's best friend Jeremy Camara. It was yummy
On Sunday we went up to Heber and did the Thomas the train activities. Dayton loves trains. He said choo choo the whole way up there.
Dayton and me in front of Thomas..

Grandma Sara and Dayton
We came home after our activities on Sunday. I had been there since Wednesday helping my family out with a few things. It is nice to be back home but its fun to be around family and those that we love. What a great weekend. Thank you everyone for letting us just sleep wherever and being so nice and generous. Hopefully we will be back down again soon.

First water fight!

Sadly Jason has been gone for work a ton lately. We hardly ever see him. On Saturday Dayton and I were feeling pretty lonely (or at least I was) so we went to Walmart to go and buy squirt guns. We bought a pack of 6 or 7 for like 5 bucks, which I thought was quite the deal. After Dayton's nap we pulled them out and I showed Dayton how to fill them, and how to squirt them. It was all fun and laughing after that. It was so much fun to play around with my little boy like I was a little kid again. Although we miss Jason terribly it certainly did fill the gap for a little while. (I tried to take pictures of our water fight but taking pictures while trying to protect your phone from getting wet, doesn't turn out very well)

Mothers Day

This year I had a wonderful mothers day. We stayed home this weekend and I loved every second of it. Saturday evening Jason bought me flowers to start off the mothers day. Then first thing Sunday morning Jason made me eggs, hash browns, bacon, and toast breakfast in bed. We went to Church which was awesome. Dayton made me a little vase with candy flowers in it for nursery. We came home and started our dinner prep which was king crab legs, mashed potatoes, and broccoli. We put the crab legs on the barbecue and seasoned them ohhh it was amazing. We had 4.14 pounds worth of legs, which turned out to be a for sure 3 lbs in just crab meat, needless to say we were stuffed! (get this, imagine me and Jason at the meat department picking out our 3 large king crab legs and having the total coming up to $78.64 and not daring to say no and hand them back. I am glad they were amazing or I would of been very upset!) We played around outside, then came in and we all had Sunday naps. We watched a few movies, had some TV dinners around 7:30 and watched a few shows on Angels and Demons and all of the truth and fiction that the book presented. The night ended with Jason and Dayton giving me my mothers day cards which were very sweet and straight from the heart. I love my family and I am so glad that they made this a wonderful mothers day for me. I love you Jason and Dayton!!

Our week away

Dayton at Cal ranch looking at baby chicks
Dayton at Annies playing with Logan

Dayton at Toys R Us have a good time playing with the trains waiting for carpet to be installed

We have just returned back to Rock Springs, WY as of 1:30 last night from a week of living in the motor home. Jason had to go and work in Price Utah to reclaim an oil job and I didnt want to stay home all alone in Rock Springs so I decided to go with him but drive my car there so I just wasn't stranded. We stayed in some trashy RV park right off of the freeway but it did give us full hookups and that was really nice. To fill my time I drove an hour and twenty minutes one way, everyday to go to Payson to work on our house there so we can either sell or rent it. Dayton hated it at the payson house because I wouldnt let him paint and he had nothing to do in an empty house with no carpet or chairs or anything, so Dayton spent his time at my Aunt Annies house. Dayton loved it there (Thanks so much Annie it was such a help) She has three kids one 6, one almost 4, and one 2. He had so much fun playing, especially with kids his own age. While he was gone and with the help of my wonderful dad (Thanks dad for everything) I finished the final sanding (help from dad), texturing(help from dad), cleaning, priming, lawn edging (with a shovel but I did what I could) weeding, raking, lawn mowing, painting my old room, basement and the stair case, put up base board and sealed it. Then to add a cherry on top I had purchased carpet and pad and I had it all installed yesterday. And now I can say..WE ARE FINALLY FINISHED!!!!! After putting up 9 gallons worth of paint on the walls, I am so sick of painting!! I dont want to see another roller or paint can for another 6 months at least! I am so glad to be home!! Although the motor home was great and suited our every need. Its just nice to be here and relax.
