Utah State Fair.

Me and Dayton in front of this massive cow!! It was huge. I don't like posting pictures of a pregnant Liz. I really try to avoid it, so this is rare... and its also me at 34 weeks prego
Jason and Dayton in front of the massive cow again.
Over the weekend we went to the Utah State Fair. Jason is the head tech for United truck and tractor pullers so we got in free as long as Jason lined up the diesels and made sure they were all safe to run. It was a lot of fun. Its always my favorite sled pull to go to (even though this year we didn't have a truck) because there is so much to do. Dayton loved seeing the animals. I think he gets that from me! We spent the longest amount of time looking at the rabbits. I think he pet every single one! (from under the cages where its nice and clean.. ) They even had a rabbit out of the cages for the kids to pet and Dayton was all over that. He even pushed other kid's hands away from the rabbit saying "NO! don't touch!" It was a good learning experience because he needs to learn to share better with a brother soon on the way. My mom, Dad, Shae, Stacee, Digger and baby Mac were all there. It was great to see them and I am excited to see them all again. Also my Good Job to my Grandpa Strong! He won 2 blue ribbons and one red on his knives that he made. They looked great!

3 year Anniversary!!!

Today is my Anniversary!!! I just wanted to take a minute to let you all know what a great husband I have. Jason is the easiest person to get a long with ever! (his sisters may not say this though) We hardly ever disagree and if we do he always lets me win. (we have been together for almost 4 years and we still haven't been in a big fight yet and I truly believe we never will!!) If I am ever sad he does everything he can to make me happy and get me to smile. He is always happy and never ornery or angry or mad. He has never once made me feel bad that I do not bring in an income. He is always telling me that my role in the home is more important than his and I do my fair share. My husband has the best laugh in the world. I think it makes everyone smile. I am positive my sister Megan will vouch for this cause she loves his laugh too! My husband has never complained about my cooking. He can eat anything and make me feel great about it. My husband is the best daddy in the whole world!! He loves Dayton and the new one in my tummy so much. My husband would do anything for me...and I mean anything!! When him and I first met he chewed and drank and when he found out that I wouldn't kiss someone like that, he went cold turkey off of everything and has never touched it since. (its been almost 4 years now!) My husband is the smartest man that I know. Its like he has a photographic memory. He can still remember exact math equations, history dates, science explanations so on and so forth, all from high school. He was so smart in high school that he was teaching the math teachers math. Jason is good at everything...it sucks!! As most people know I am way competitive, but no matter what I do and how long I work on it, he will pick it up and do it faster and better than I can. He is the smartest mechanic ever. He gets phone calls constantly from people who have questions about a problem that they are having with their trucks or cars. Needless to say he has never had one ounce of schooling it is all self taught and from watching his dad mechanic. I love Jason with all of my heart and every day I am thankful that I made the right decision to marry him. He is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me. I love you Jason!! Happy 3 Year Anniversary!

Family Changes

As most know my parents are currently going through a divorce, It shouldn't take much longer now for it all to be final. I have never wrote about it and I rarely rarely talk about it to my friends. Its been hard..really hard. Especially on days like today when I look at my baby ticker and see that I only have 49 more days of being pregnant, and my family wont be standing all together to greet him. I have chosen the not taking sides route which has made things even harder. It has caused both of my parents to be very distant. Dad hardly talks to me, Mom hardly talks to me. I personally believe both of them feel I have taken sides with the other thus the reason for all of the distance. Its not true through I am just equally distant from both. Me and Jason have chosen to not stay over night in Utah county and to just make day long trips, thus not causing problems of where we are staying the night. I am deathly scared for the holidays and worrying about my parents feeling lonely or sad. Life just feels broken. Jason says it will get better but he said he took about 5 or 6 years for his family to get better and feel normal and that is devastating!! By that point Dayton will be 7 or 8! Honestly I wish my parents were open to their flaws and open to changing themselves therefore staying together. We really did have a happy family. It makes me regret not pushing my family to getting yearly family pictures together. The most recent one we have is Thanksgiving of 07 which is getting to be pretty dated and a lot of changes has happened since then. If any good has come out of this, it is that my marriage is stronger than ever. I have learned that love is a gift. A gift we must treasure and protect. I have learned that love cannot exist if there is no trust and no respect. "Thank yous" and "I love yous" are in abundant supply at my home. I feel because me and Jason are both from broken families that we well make it to forever and he feels the same. I hope for the best in my parents future and I pray that we can all put the past behind us and try to live normal again.

Labor Day Weekend!

This year for Labor Day we went down to St. George to go down and see Jason's family. It was great!! It started out Friday driving down to SLC to watch the Diesel Drags at RMR (we had a few friends who had trucks in the event and we wanted to be supportive) and then we went out to dinner afterward and then started our Journey to St. George. We drove till we hit scipio and then we took a nap for about 4 hours and continued our journey. We arrived at our destination at like 7:30 am Saturday morning. Remind me in the future sleeping in a car at 32 weeks pregnant is not a fun ordeal. Saturday we went to the Peach days carnival which was fun. It was way hot though... It was like a 20 degree difference from what i am used to so my ankles looked awful!! Sunday we went shopping (yeah sorry I know we broke the sabbath) and then had a family dinner at Meagans house. We left on Monday morning after breakfast and headed on our way back home. It was so much fun and I am excited to spend more time with my in-laws in the future.

Basement Progress

So I am really impressed with my husbands work... I had my doubts, and who wouldn't when their husband has really never done anything like this before. The room is 9x15 and off to the right hand side is the bedrooms own full bath which I think will be really nice. (we cannot finish the bath till we have enough money and the bedroom is definitely priority with the baby coming in 8 weeks give or take) .Now we are ready for the rough electrical and then we are on to insulation and sheet rock. Wahoo!!
