Happy 30th Birthday Jason!

Today was Jason's Birthday. It was a great day. Yesterday he opened his new chrome truck door handles and a month ago he actually got a brand new tool box as an early birthday present. Last night we went out to Coyote Creek for his birthday dinner. This morning he woke up to happy faces and birthday cards, we scurried and got ready for church. (We were actually early by 15 minutes and because of it I was asked to say the opening prayer in sacrament meeting) We came home and ate a yummy roast dinner and an hour or two after that we had birthday cake. (Jason's favorite Cherry Cheesecake Kuchen its like a thick dense cake and then cherries and then cheesecake and then another layer of cherries. It takes like 4 hours to make this thing but it was worth it!) Jason Happy Birthday Hon! I love you and I cant wait to spend the next forever of birthdays with you!

Jace at 3 months!

Well 3 months have come and gone and they have been wonderful! I look back and ask myself "did I capture the moment" I hope that I have taken enough videos and pictures of my little man to show the growth that he has had every week. Bounce is a little bubbler, he is constantly blowing spit bubbles all day long. And man this kid can drule! He is starting to recognize people. He of course knows Jason, Dayton and I, But he defiantly shows it if he doesn't know you. He might be a shy little guy for the next few years. His laugh is melt your heart to die for! He can roll to both of his sides. And just like Dayton, Jace is happy. He is only fussy when we go out of town and his schedule changes. I love you bounce, You have my heart in the palm of your cute little hands.

Dayton at 2 1/2

My little boy is now officially 2 1/2 years old. Its amazing how much he has grown up in the last 6 months let alone the last year. He is so independent, smart, funny, and full of happiness. My friend Rachel has even asked the question "Is he always happy this happy?" Truth is yes, Dayton is happy, hardly ever ornery. He is only sad when he has to leave his friends when he is having fun. But don't worry his feelings have a 5 second rebound rate, and he is on his next happy adventure. Dayton loves his daddy. Last night I heard something in his room at 3:30 am so I decided to check it out...it was Dayton talking in his sleep. He was talking to his daddy there was lots of mumbling but you could hear dad and daddy in a happy tone as the constant hum. Dayton is so ticklish especially on his cute little legs. Dayton loves to sing. He is always asking me to sing the monkey song with him. (5 little monkeys swinging in the tree, teasing Mr. crocodile "you can't catch me, you can't catch me. Along comes Mr. Crocodile and Snapped! ((but Dayton says Snacked!)) That monkey right out of that tree.) Dayton's hair in the last 6 months has gotten especially dark also. Dayton I will try harder in the future to treat you like the age you are. I am always trying to treat you like you are 3 and 4 years old like all of your friends. I expect way to much. In a few years I will wish I had a 2 1/2 year old back and I want to give you this age for all that its worth. I promise that I will work on it and let you be the cute little stinker that you are. In the picture above Dayton is having a play day with his buddy Max. Happy 2 1/2 years Dater bug!

Story Time Mondays

On Mondays Dayton enjoys going to the library for story time. Its great, the kids learn to listen to a teacher instead of parents, learn colors, learn matching, learn counting, sometimes we learn the alphabet, get stories read to them, play Ring Around The Rosie's, do the "If Your Happy and You Know It" song. Its great and pretty educational for Dayton. Today we learned about snowmen, Dayton had to make sure after he learned something that I learned it also. He would yell after he learned something "hey mom! what color is this?" or "how many green snow men mom?" or "Mom this color is black!". Every week I am so surprised and proud to see how smart my little boy is. Great job Dayton!

Jace is now 2 months 2 weeks old.

Sunday Night Sickies

Sunday night after church around 7 Dayton came down with a little flu bug. He threw up till there was only dry heaving left. My amazing husband stayed up with him because I have been lacking sleep from my other little one. By morning Dayton was fine which instantly brought me relief. Glad you are feeling better buddy!

Time Well Spent

Dayton has been starving for extra attention that I cannot give him when we are at home with Jace. And I have not once been out of the house with Dayton alone (other than tiny errands) since Jace was born. So on Saturday, Dayton and I, had a day out. It was great! We went to the mall and bought him new church and play shoes. I let him get candy out of the vending machines and he rode some little rides. Then we went to K-mart and I let him pick out a new toy. After about an hour of being there he finally decided on two swords. It was a great 3 hours of time well spent. While we were gone daddy and Jace also had some quality time together watching sports on TV and making a new Website for Addicted Performance.

Where's mommy? Here I am!

The best line off of Ice Age 3 would have to be when Sid is playing with his new dino kids and he covers his eyes with his hands and says "Where's mommy?" uncovers his eyes and says "Here I am!" It cracks me up every time that I watch it. I am currently putting together a printed out blog book of last year and there are so many pictures where I wonder where I am, what did I look like when this picture was taken? I am not very good about being in the picture because I am worried about how I look especially if I didn't put makeup on that day. This year I am going to give more of an effort to be in the picture, make-up on or off and so the question is never brought up.."Where's Mommy?". Don't me and Dayton look fantastic!?

Dress Shopping

My little sister Megan is engaged and will be getting married in May... Last Saturday we went wedding dress and brides maid dress shopping... This is what they came up with for me.. Lovely right? I really love the fact that my garments are hidden so well! (:

To Infinity and Beyond!

Yes this phrase is said about a hundred times daily around here. We are currently in a Toy Story phase. Dayton finds anything that is more than 6 inches tall and lifts his hands up and says this phrase and then jumps off. I love the show so I really don't mind. I have to laugh though, When Dayton gets into trouble and I yell at him..he always finds something to sass and yell back in a not very nice tone, such as.."Mom, you are a toy!" "Mom, you are a child's play thing!" or the best of all "Mom, you are buzz lightyear!" One day the sassing will get out of hand but as of right now... I am having a hard time keeping a straight face.

Smiles

Trying to get Jace to smile is just about impossible...I tried for almost an hour to get this one and it isn't even as big as what they normally are...but, its still a picture of an adorable little boy and that's all that matters.

Happy 2010!

2009 had its ups and its downs...for the most part though, I am glad its over. It was about time to have a fresh start for 2010. We spent our new years in Utah with family. It was great to spend time with everyone. We stayed for a few days so we could get more quality time with more people. We still felt like we were running around with our heads cut off but we did it. Congrats to my little sister Megan for getting engaged! We are so excited for you and we are excited to have another addition to the family. On new years eve, we went with my mom and little sister Shae to "The Blind Side", then we went to my sisters Stacee's house for some yummy appetizers and some games and then we went back to my dads house around 10 and watched a movie and called it a night. Jasons new years resoultion is to be points champion in the super modified class in sled pulling, and mine is to run a marathon. Wish us luck in 2010!!!

Jace at 2 months

Jace checked out at his 2 month old appointment to be 10 lbs and 10 ounces putting him in the 23rd percentile for weight and I am not sure on the exact inches on length but I do know he was in the 80th percentile for length. Jace also had his 2 month old shots. There were three and then he had to orally take a med. Jace you are getting so big!!! Here is a picture of Jason and Jace sleeping in together. It was so adorable! I love my boys!!
