Rhett Sitting

Its so exciting when you go from a baby that can only lay on the ground, and some times roll over. To a sitting baby.  They always seem so much happier and content.  We are glad that Rhett can see the world at a new angle now.  Good Job Rhett!

"Till For A Moment"

You know the saying "kill for a moment like this"  Well it turns out I almost literally killed while I tilled 4 baby rabbits.   I don't ever, ever, ever want to kill/till for a moment like this again!
Jason let me go home from work the other day a little early so I could till my garden and get ready to plant.  As I was tilling, I hit a soft spot and I looked down and saw and grey thing fling through my tiller, and then I saw another one.  It was two baby bunnies that were probably around 3 weeks old.  I stopped what I was doing, turned off the tiller and looked at what I did.  one of the bunnies that went through the tiller had broken legs and possible broken ribs, the other one had a huge gash in its fur.  I dug down further from where I was tilling and I found 2 more rabbits.  1 of the two rabbits ran off and Zoe chewed on him and then let him go. My neighbor got me a box and I put the rabbits in the box and I tried to think of what to do.  I couldn't put them back in their home, I just destroyed it with the tiller, I couldn't leave them in the yard for that matter either, or they would become chew toys for Zoe.
I took the bunnies in the house and I called the vet.  The Vet told me for the injured ones (3 of them) to put them in a bag or a box and put them in the freezer and let them die. He said they would just go to sleep.   WHAT?!?!? talk about cruel!  He also said that the mama bunny would never come back if their old den had been dug in by Zoe or if it smelt like dog at all. My only choice if I wanted these bunnies to live was to bottle feed them.  injured and all.  Even though the vet said the one that wasn't injured would only have a 10% chance of survival.
Later that night after I bought the formula and bottles I saw my neighbor Tanya across the street and she came over and talked to me.  She told me she tried to save bunnies last year but it didn't work and they died.  She wanted to come in and see them.  After she saw them I told her of the problems I had with having bunnies (dog and cat  wanted to eat them mainly) and she gladly took them off of my hands.
After just 2 or 3 nights the bunny with the broken legs and ribs died.   But the others were healing and thriving.  Its been a week now and all the bunnies are doing great and could be released back into the wild.  I am thinking they might be turned into pets though.  They are so cute I couldn't release them either!

Here is a picture of the bunnies now.  Aren't they cute!?!?!  They are still about the size of a fist even though they look much bigger here.   Turns out that vet didn't know what he was talking about at all!  10% chance my butt.  We didn't even need to kill off the wounded.

T-Ball Practice

The boys are loving T-Ball. Jace isn't on the team, but the coach is nice enough to let him join in.
With all the practice we have got lately with having a big open shop to play in, it sure does help my kids be good at this sport.

Some days you just have to go to bed early.

Some days you find that you are just working hard and you gotta go to bed early.  Those nights seem to happen more often than not anymore.   I know I post a lot of pictures of my sleeping husband but I love these moments.  Kids are so easy to take pictures of when they are sleeping.

The Zoo 2013

We normally try to make it to the zoo once every year.  Well that time came around for us again this year.

Rhett and Jace measuring up

Jace's favorite animals were the elephants and the Giraffes ,  Dayton didn't have a favorite animal.  All he was worried about was riding the carousel and eating cotton candy.

Jace wanted to see Lions so bad this year.  Unfortunately we will have to wait till next year before they get them in.  We all loved to go through the new Rocky Shores part of the Zoo.  It was beautiful and I am sure the animals love their new home as well.

Kindergarten shots

Kindergarten for Dayton keeps creeping closer.  We had kindergarten registration and to register Dayton had to go get his shots.  4 of them.  He was not thrilled and neither was I.  I made Dayton a deal though, I told him if he got his shots and was a good boy I would take him on a date.  Wherever he wanted to go.  He was good for his shots.  He screamed and acted like they were cutting of his arms but he still let it happen.  So for our date he chose to go get ice cream.  Of course you cant say ice cream without taking Jace along.  Dayton enjoyed his ice cream and I think it made it almost worth it.  Almost.

2013 RZR 900 HO Limited Edition Jagged X

Meet the newest member of our Stott family Toys!  We picked this up on our way home from Coral Pink.  Considering our Ranger wouldn't run, we traded it of for something that would.  They only made 2,000 of these in the country to we are super excited that we own one of them.  We are going to put a bench seat in the back so all 5 of us can ride comfortably and safely.

Coral Pink Sand Dunes 2013

We were able to go to Coral Pink Sand Dunes again this year.   It was a lot of fun and the weather was much warmer.
Our group this year consisted of Rick, Cathy, Nate, Keitley, Cael, my Dad, Kari, Shae, my Mom, Toni, Meagan, David, Austin, Janell, Ethan, Adren, Ashyr, Honour, Avery and my little family.
We did something we have never done before this year.  We went and seen the Dinosaur tracks.  It was super neat to be outdoors to see something like this rather than in a museum.

Dayton climbing rocks by the dinosaur tracks

Rick and Dayton taking a rest in the Wash.

This year was not a good year for our Machines.  My fourwheeler and the Ranger didn't want to stay running.  Actually every time we took the Ranger out on the sand dunes, it broke down and would leave people stranded.  But everyone else machines ran fine.   We still had plenty of machines to ride since ours was broken though.

Enclosed trailer living quarters

As if we don't have enough going on... we decided to build living quarters in our enclosed trailer.  We are about 2/3 done.  The rest of the stuff from here on out is just pretty things, wood floors, carpet, more cabinets, wall paper, lighting fixtures, and all the other things to make it more homey.  I will post more pictures when the project is complete.

Finished Basement

After almost spending $35,000, countless hours of long hard work, and year of things being unorganized and practically a disaster, our full basement is finished!!! 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 utility room, 1 storage room, 1 2-story play room, one cold food storage room and one huge living room.  That a total of almost 1,600 sq feet of living space.
our living room looking toward the storage room, guest room, play room, utilitly room and cold storage room. (the walls really aren't green... my phone just took a weird picture)
our living room look towards the fire place, Dayton and Jace's room and the other bathroom.  We are so excited to be done.  It will even be more enjoyable when we furnish it this fall.
