Toe Sucker

Of all my babies.  Rhett is my first baby to suck on his toes.  I find it terribly gross and terribly cute at the same time.

Gift Shop on the Way Home

On our way home from Montana we stopped at this really cool, really huge antique store/gift shop.  We must have spent at least 1 1/2 hour there.  I want to go there again.  There is so much that I wanna buy for next time!

Ovando, MT 2013

I love learning about Jason's life as he grew up.  He spend from 5 years old to 10 yrs. in Ovando.  Ovando was BEAUTIFUL!  Green everywhere with the bluest sky.  It was so quiet and peaceful there.  Above is a picture of Jason's house.  They owned 13 Acres here.
Ovando is also the place where Jason burnt down about an acre worth of trees.   It was a simple mistake.  Jason went outside and made his own fire to cook smores.  Once he was done he kicked some dirt on the fire and thought that he had it put out and went back into the house.  Not but a few minutes later all the trees around their house were on fire.   The fire department was called but Jason's Dad, Rick had the fire put out before they got there.  In the picture about you can still see the fire damage on the bottom of all the trees.  You can also see if you look closely that a few trees never did recover and its been 20+ years!
This is turning around in a circle and catchin some of the views that Jason's house overlooked.
It was so peaceful!

While we were there looking around.  Dayton and Jace were able to see a bird house that Jason made when he was little.  They were really excited, especially where the boys made their own bird houses last week.
The town of Ovando was so small!  I could hardly believe it.  Here is the grocery store, hardware store, some other random parts store, and a gift shop.

Across the street is the museum.
I didn't get a picture of the fuel pumps but this is the gas station and the auto garage.
This is the school.  The school here only had two rooms.  K-6 and 7-12.  There were only 3 teachers.  The bigger building off to the side was the lunch room and the gym.   My guess is that these teachers didn't get paid enough!  Seriously can you imagine teaching kids of all those ages at the same time?!?!   Ovando was so charming!  I would love to live there some day.  It turns out Jason brother Jeremy had a dream of buying their house back in Ovando and living in it one day.  One day if we ever get rich, I want to buy the house for Jeremy (and myself of course!  (:  I really loved it there! )

Drummond Sunset

This year we headed to Montana for Memorial day.  We stayed in Missoula with Jasons Aunt Penny and his Grandma Stott. We were able to pass through a few of the towns where Jason grew up.   As we were passing through Drummond (where Jason spent 5th grade - 10th grade ) We witnessed an incredible sunset.  We drove into the town and Jason showed me his old house and old memories around the town.

Beyblade Beyblade Let It Rip!

For Dayton's Preschool graduation present he chose to have some Beyblades.    I think all of us have enjoyed them.  We have played quite a few times as a family.   The boys were super cute this morning.  They wanted to have their rescue bots and Rhett watch their battles.

Zoe the Lion is Back Again

The time has come around again for Zoe to be shaved.  I think she really enjoys her hair cut.  She sure doesn't pant as much with all of that hair gone.  I love it cause she is so easy maintenance for these hot summer months.

Sled pull motor 2013

Sled pulling season is upon us again.   This year will be interesting.  Im super nervous because being alone with 3 kids at sled pulls is super scary.  I'm not sure me and they boys will make it to very many of them but we will try and see how it pans out.   We are hoping that we have a lot of the bugs worked out of our motor and we should have a good season with no huge break downs.

Daytons Final Preschool Graduation

I am super lame.  I went to Dayton's final preschool graduation with none of my cameras charged and everything was dead by the time the graduation had started.   Jason was able to get a few videos with his phones though.  Dayton has been so ready to be done with preschool.  He is super excited and ready to start the kindergarten phase of life.

Jaces hurt foot.

Jace is still bouncy!  He hurt his foot and we thought it was broken.  We had X-rays done and we didn't find anything wrong other than a sprain.  Seriously!  This kids needs permanent bubble wrap around his entire body!

Bird Houses

We were at Joannes Fabrics and they had plain wood bird houses on sale.  I decided to let my kids pick out which ones they wanted and go home and paint them.  Dayton covered ever side of flat surface a solid different color.
Jace had every color plus some, on ever side of his house

It was a nice little project to do

Daytons first T-Ball Game

We got Dayton's T-ball uniform and only Jace wanted to try it on.
Here is a picture of Dayton running to home base.
Dayton Reaching home base.  When Dayton first hit the ball in this game he actually ran the wrong way.  It was so cute.  He was the very first hitter of the day and I didn't think to tell him which one was first base.  He has loved being in T-ball.

Rex's Baby Blessings

New newest baby nephew Rex had his baby blessing.   Above here is Stacee holding Rhett and Blake.
Above: Grandpa and Grandma Shepherd, Megan, Lee, Rex and Grandma and Grandpa Strong.
It was a beautiful spring day.  There was a little family drama but we were there for Rex and that was all that mattered.
Rex's Parents and Grandparents.
Look how adorable he is!  This is right after he was blessed.

Riding Itty Bit For a Little Bit

While we were down in Utah for family pictures and Rex's baby, Jace wanted to ride some horses.  We decided to stick Rhett on with Jace while we were at it.  I love it that my kiddos love horses.
