Christmas Day 2013

Well that Santa sure does a good job on knowing exactly what the kids wanted this year.  There was so much happiness and laughter that it felt like my home would almost burst

My Dad makes it a tradition to come to our house every Christmas day and spend some time with us.  We sure do love to see this guy!

Christmas Eve 2013

This year we did all of our annual traditions for Christmas Eve.  We started the day off with some gingerbread house making.

The kids were more than thrilled and they did a really great job!

When it go dark my sisters in Utah went to my moms grave and lit up some paper bags in memory of Mom.  I was sad to not be there with them but that is one of those things when you live in a different state.
We ate our traditional prime rib dinner.  It was FANTASTIC!  We are getting good at making this meal.  I bought a 10 rib prime rib which weighed in at 30 lbs.  We will be eating left overs for a few days.
The kids opened up gifts some PJ's from Jason and I.
Then we watched Arthur Christmas and listened to a recorded book of my mom reading the Night Before Christmas and then went to bed.
Jason and I were sneaky and we happened to catch a glimpse of Santa pulling some gifts out of his bag.  Once he was done and gone, I went and caught a few pictures before the kids woke up.

Here is Jason's and my Gifts
 Jace's Gifts
 Dayton's Gifts
 And Rhett's gifts

This was the family gift I believe....
It was a very successful day and I can't wait to see the kids faces in the morning! Merry Christmas World!

Some Winter Fun

It is the 23rd of December and we have enough snow for the kids to ride on a sleigh behind the razor.  The kids had so much fun doing this activity.  They didn't want to stop! But, being that mean Mom that I am, I made them come in after a couple hours of play time.

This is what I made them come in the house for..... A nice hot fireplace to warm those cute little fingers, toes and noses!

Neighbor Christmas Gifts

I took it extra easy on myself this year for neighbor Christmas gifts.  Homework and Finals do funny things to people and manage to steal away all of your extra time. Good thing they turned out extra cute!

A Cozy Nap

I don't know about you, but I can't think of a better place to take a nap then on the stairs.

Dancing on Bubble Wrap

Some of my fondest memories involve bubble wrap.  I'm glad my boys enjoy the same type of entertainment!

Santa Claus comes to Preschool

Jace had the privilege of seeing Santa at his school.  He was being a little shy guy and managed to ask for things he has never wanted.  Surprise!

Moms Christmas Tree

We were not able to spoil our Mom with Christmas gifts so we did the next best thing that we could.  We bought her a tree and decorated it in red and gold decorations and completed it with a village underneath.  Mom will love it!

Billet- the New Dobby

I dressed billet up in a sock to let him know he was free!  I'm sure Billet was just as thrilled as Dobby was on Harry Potter!  I crack myself up!
