This year we did all of our annual traditions for Christmas Eve. We started the day off with some gingerbread house making.
The kids were more than thrilled and they did a really great job!
When it go dark my sisters in Utah went to my moms grave and lit up some paper bags in memory of Mom. I was sad to not be there with them but that is one of those things when you live in a different state.
We ate our traditional prime rib dinner. It was FANTASTIC! We are getting good at making this meal. I bought a 10 rib prime rib which weighed in at 30 lbs. We will be eating left overs for a few days.
The kids opened up gifts some PJ's from Jason and I.
Then we watched Arthur Christmas and listened to a recorded book of my mom reading the Night Before Christmas and then went to bed.
Jason and I were sneaky and we happened to catch a glimpse of Santa pulling some gifts out of his bag. Once he was done and gone, I went and caught a few pictures before the kids woke up.
Here is Jason's and my Gifts
Jace's Gifts
Dayton's Gifts
And Rhett's gifts
This was the family gift I believe....
It was a very successful day and I can't wait to see the kids faces in the morning! Merry Christmas World!
