Daytons latest

Dayton begs and begs to go outside and play. Yesterday he spent close to two hours total just walking around and playing with the snow and playing with his toys. I love it because when I was little I loved to be outside and I hope he will be the same. I was really surprised to see how much he has grown over the last few months. He seemed so large compared to all of his outside baby toys that we have bought so far. So needless to say we will be buying the kids an outdoor playground. I found one that I like that has a rock wall, a rope wall, 3 swings, a play house, and a 9 ft slide. I think that should do for a few years.
Dayton has also hit another milestone, he has learned to fib. Last week I went to Walmart to buy stuff for our wards scouting blue and gold banquet and the cub master that I work with went with us. As soon as Dayton saw her he yelled in a scared, worried voice "Zoe has been in the garage for 2 weeks!" Totally a lie. Zoe is in my house constantly, I only send her to the garage when we have company over because she gets really excited and gets a little annoying. When ever Dayton does something bad he will either blame it on Jason, Jace or Zoe. I am sure he thinks he is convincing but he's not. After I teach him that its bad to lie I normally have to walk out of the room and laugh a little. Kids are seriously so funny. He doesn't although lie about when he is playing with himself. A few days ago Dayton was in the tub and I was doing my thing and picking up his room and making his bed when I walked in to check on him and I asked him what he was doing and he yelled back "mom, get outta here, I'm playing with my pee pee!" I just about died laughing on the floor. It was not what I was expecting for a response at all! But he is definitely a boy that's for sure.

Stretchy PJ's

Jace is so cute in his little stretchy pjs. I just had to take a picture of him while he was watching TV with Dayton this morning...cute little stink!

Sugar Cookies

For days when Dayton is being extra good I give him rewards...Yesterday his good incentive was making sugar cookies. Although it was very fun and yummy, I wished so much that I lived close to family so we could go around and deliver our delicious snack. Instead we just sent text pictures of them to family, hoping that would fill the void. It kinda did. It was a fun activity and I am glad that me and my boys was able to do it together.

Rice Cereal

I know that 3 months 2 weeks is a little early for rice cereal, but I am getting to the point where I don't have many other options. Jace eats and eats and eats. This kid is never full! Maybe its because he is a giant, I don't know. Jace can take down 4 ounces of milk and still want more! I started him on cereal yesterday. He actually would open his mouth when I would bring up the spoon! Dayton, I had to force feed till he was around 5 months old. Jace loved his cereal, I started him off on 2 tablespoons of rice cereal and drenched it with milk so it was pretty soupy and he downed it...I was actually debating giving him more once he had finished. Here's to the future on solids!

Hurt by a Stick

Last night while I was helping a friend make some cupcakes, Jason was home watching the kids. Dayton was playing with some long tooth pick BBQ skewers while playing with Zoe..in the end it resulted in an ouchie. When I asked Dayton what he did and how it happened he responded to the best of his ability. He is trying to say "I hurt my stick"....meaning I got hurt from the stick. The things kids say...Classic! I was a little persistent on getting him to say it again on the video, so just bare with me!

Just When I Think My House is Kid Proof...

I find out....that I am wrong...
In case you are wondering the powdered sugar came from the pantry and the scissors came from the drawer. Two things that I never thought that he would put together for a good time. I only found out that this had happened when he came running up to me saying "Mom look, baby sugar!" (he thought it was baby powder but two days ago I taught him it was sugar so he put the two together)
This was today..it was by luck that he was wearing the same pj's as he was on Tuesday. I swear they were clean and that I washed them.
