Sled Pulling

I never did post on how we did in Idaho Falls, Things I thought went really well. We made it around 100 feet and then we blew a turbo boot and Jason coasted a little further. Good news is that we still got third place. I think it was like a 150-175 foot pull. Idaho Falls was a huge pull with a big truck turn out. I think united pullers predicted it was a $20,000 dollar night that they made off of truck hooks and people coming to watch. Trucks were pulling for 8 hours straight! (Thank goodness it started at 4 pm rather than just the normal 7) I think there were around 90-100 entries. Spanish Fork, Utah is tomorrow and we are so excited because a lot of family and friends are going to be coming to support us. Any one and Everyone is welcome to come. Its a really fun family show that is very loud so be prepared. Not just trucks like Jason's pull, there are tractors, mini tractors, tractors with up to 6 engines, gas trucks, semis, and a few little odds and ends vehicles. Tickets for adults are between $8-12 bucks and kids are cheaper like $4-8 bucks. I don't know the exact prices cause everywhere its different. We hope to see you all there!!!

Baby Announcement

After 21 weeks of waiting we finally know what we are having and we are so excited for our new arrival. I'll give you a few hints...it has two arms, two legs, two eyes, a perfect spine, a strong heart and ITS A BOY!!! I am so excited! I wanted a boy really bad so Dayton could have a brother that he was really close with and I am not ready for girl drama yet. We love our baby very much already and we cannot wait for his arrival!

Burley, Idaho Sled Pull

Jason and Dayton in front of the Track 15 minutes before the show started This a picture of all of the driving being announced to the crowd. They only do this for the modified drivers. Jason is third from the right.

For our first sled pull of the season we did very well. The turn out was great (you can see all of the people in the grand stands) and the track held up good. This will be the first year we are pulling in the Super Modified Diesel class. (at this pull we were the only truck in super mod class so we got first and last place but we still did get a pay out) We had a good pull but sadly we don't have a video because the video camera had the wrong memory card. We are lucky that we didn't get rained out where it rained all week and all day of the pull, it cleared up just in time for the show to start and then started back up when the show was done. Everything on the truck stayed together really well except for we blew a head gasket causing us to sputter at the end of the pull. The crowd went crazy when Jason started to pull. Super Modified's are always a big crowd pleaser. At the end of the pull Jason had a huge crowd of people gathered around the truck all wanting a closer look, it was pretty cool. All in all we are glad that we made the trip and had a good start out for the season. Thanks to all of the those who drove up to watch, support and help out.

giddy-up!

We went to the Boot Barn here in Rock Springs and bought Dayton some cowboy cloths. Dayton loves ridding horses at his Grandpa Stotts house, all day we find him asking about Alpo and Bucky. Dayton really never had anything for horse ridding and I decided I wanted his 2 year old pictures to be in cowboy cloths. It all works out pefectly now he can wear his new cloths to Lehi Round-up, and to his Grandpa Stotts house. Cowboy butts drive me nuts!!! (espcially really little ones!)

Jasons New Fire Suit

For Jason to pull in the super modified class this year we had to get him a full fire suit (he isnt wearing the gloves or the helmet in the picture). We had to do the pants, shoes and gloves for an early fathers day gift. Guess how much this outfit cost...100...200...300 no keep on going $500 bucks. It makes it the most expensive outfit we own. Hopefully this will be our lucky outfit and bring us some first place wins.

New Window Wells

When we bought our house, there were a few flaws on it that we knew had to be fixed right off....including changing out our window wells. It really didnt pass code so I dont know how they actually passed inspection to move on to the rest of the building. This is what we had before yesterday... It was such a mess.... every time that it rained the mud would seep in and eventually flood the basement. It was a headache. So me and Jason rented a mini excavator and and Jump"n"Jack compactor and we bought 5 new window wells that would be the correct size.... After over 16 hour of hard back breaking work (so hard that at one point it put me into contractions) one broken window and Dayton falling into one of the window wells we finally finished and here is our finished product..
Now all we have to do is fill them up with 6 to 8 inches of 1 inch gravel (and window cleaning) and we are all done!!!...YEAH!!!

Addicted Pulling Schedule

I know that I am posting the schedule again but a few things have changed. The pulling season is right under our nose. A lot of people have been asking about times and I put all of the times that I could find out. Pulls that start before 7 are actually pre-qualifying shows. They do pull offs so they can determine the top 3 or 4 in each class and then the winners (in the pull off) get to drive again in the main show, that starts at 7. Thanks and hope to see you there! Questions just call Jason or I, or leave me a comment.
