Potty Training Dayton

For the past 3 weeks or so, we have been working with Dayton to be potty trained. Its been..HARD! We tried the cold turkey off of diapers and into underwear and it failed horribly. Dayton doesn't seem to care when pee is running down his legs. He just keeps on going about his daily tasks. We have tried the treat bribery, where if he goes potty he can have candy out of the reward bag. This fails because he will pinch some out to get candy, and then pee everywhere 2 minutes later. We have tried to make it like a game. Failed. We bought pull ups and Dayton was kinda excited about them (more so then the fun underwear) and we thought that was going really well cause he would go in the toilet and then stay dry. That was until I found out the little stinkers plot. He would pinch some off in the toilet and then go dry and then when he needed to go he would take the pull ups off and go on the floor, put them back on, so they were dry so he didn't get them wet. (I only caught this because I started having wet floors and I started spying on him) But today we might of had a break through, I told Dayton that only big kids can go to school. Big kids go pee pee in the potty and they don't wear diapers, and they get to have back packs! This has been a really big incentive for him and he has been a lot better. Better to the point he tells me like 4 to 5 times an hour that he has to pee and he will go and sit on the toilet by himself. So hopefully with any luck in a week or two or possibly three, we will be fully potty trained.
