November was filled with doing wedding cakes, busy week days and guests guests guest. 3 out of the 4 weekends was filled with family.
The first weekend was my Dad, Shae and Kari. They arrived Friday night. Saturday we went to the museum, did some shopping at Wal-mart, ate at broadway burger, delivered a wedding cake and had a good time.
The Second weekend Megan and Lee came up. Me and Megan enjoyed some quality sister time by doing some ceramics together. Jason and Lee did there thing outside. Delivered another wedding cake. Went to the show house and we had more good food and good times together.
The third weekend my Mom and Mark came up. On Saturday we sat around and socialized, went to walmart, went to thethe Mall to do some shopping, after which we had a nut reaction with Dayton (I will give a few more details about that in a minute) Ate at applebees, watched 2 red box DVD's at home and we had dinner here at my house. Then we topped it off and went to church on Sunday.
We were sooo thankful for all of our company. I have missed soo badly seeing my family often. Its nice to have people come here because it leaves my kids in their setting and they are so much easier to deal with when we are home.
On to the Dayton nut reaction. Before I start this is in no way blaming Mark!
We were at White Mtn Mall doing some shopping. After an hour or so the kids were so crazy and it was time to go home. While we were loading up the stoller in my moms car Dayton was in the car and saw Marks un-opened package of Peanut Butter M&M's. In an instant before we could even blink he had the package opened and he had ONE in his mouth and had just started to chew when we got in the car.
My mom instantly screamed. We pulled him out of the car, made him spit out his M&M and we tried to wash his mouth out with water. Dayton instantly started to swell in his face and started to cough because his throat was starting to swell. We got in the car and drove with the hazards on going 60mph in a 25 mph zone. Dayton was coughing so hard that he started to go purple and he was in pain. Let me remind you that this M&M wasnt even swallowed yet!
Once we were home (like 1 minute later) Jason was ready for us with an Epi-Pen and some benadryl. We quickly gave Dayton some benadryl because he was still breathing. Then Jason went to give the Epi-Pen with a firm jab held it there for 10 seconds and nothing happened. It turns out with all of the drama Jason forgot to take off the blue saftey cap on the top. Mark thought something was wrong with it and accidently shot it off. Luckily Dayton was still breathing and he was showing signs of improvements. So we were very thankful that it cleared up and he was okay.
It was scary to see everything go down like that. I didnt even think to bring an epi pen. I knew we werent going to eat at the mall and I never never never think to do a full search of someone else's vehicle. It was one of those crazy things. It's also crazy how oh bad Daytons condition has progressed. First he just had swelling and now it has came to the point of life threatning. Moments like this really put things in perspective.
Thanks to all of the family who have taken time out of their lives to come and spend time with us here in Wyoming. We are soo very blessed. P.S Some how my camera only managed to come out the weekend my mom was here. so next time I will have to be better it have it out on the table the whole time. I feel way bad. ):
