I never post about our doggie Zoe. We have one of the best dogs ever! She was the most awful puppy and teenager dog. She loved to scratch at our walls and eat the Sheetrock. And she loved to steal the neighbors shoes and just bring them home to our yard leaving tons of shoes out every where. Luckily, she grew out of it once we came to Rock Springs. She has became what we have always dreamed of for a dog.
Zoe plays so good with my boys. She has never growled or bit my kids. She lets them pull her hair, tail and she will even let them play with her food while she is eating. When she plays with Dayton she knows her limits, and she is soo soft and nice when she plays with Jace. Zoe will let Jace ride her like a horse but not Dayton. When the boys are upset Zoe is always right there ready to lick them better.
She sleeps on the floor in the hall so she can check on us and the boys at night, if they are up so is she. Ever since she was a puppy she would not sleep in our bed. Which is wonderful! I hate sharing beds with a dog! I also like it that she sleeps right there because she is my little security system and I know she would keep us safe.
On December 27th will officially mark the 4th year that we have had her in our lives. Zoe's favorite food is pancakes and maple syrup, her favorite thing to do is to go on a walk. We cant say the walk word at my house because she gets TOO excited and she is hyper. Zoe also loves to play in the snow.
Zoe loves it when people come over. She is SO excited to see new people. Zoe loves everyone except for the FedEx and ups people. I am not sure why but she hates them. It must just be a dog thing though because I don't know of many dogs who do like those delivery men.
Zoe is pampered! She is taken to the groomers every 4 weeks and brushed 3 times a week. She always has an abundant supply of doggie treats in the pantry, and we regularly buy her doggie toys and bones.
We can leave Zoe home for up to 5 Days without worrying about her. We leave the Garage doors open to the outside and she fully takes care of herself. We can leave several bowls of dog food out and she will only eat till she is full and she will ration out her food rather than eat it all at once.
When we do travel with Zoe, she gets really bad anxiety. She has to constantly be with us because if we leave her at someones house while we do errands she is a mess. She wont hold still and she barks a lot. I think its because she thinks we have left her forever, although we would never dreaming of doing something like that.
This month was Dayton's Birthday month at school. During the month the focus on that child. Also during that month the birthday children are allowed to bring special show and tells to school. When I asked what Dayton wanted to bring he didn't choose Me, Jason, or Jace but he chose his doggie Zoe. Hence that explains Zoe and the school kids picture at the top.
We had a scary situation with Zoe this week and some chicken bones which led to lots of blood and an emergency trip to the vet. It was really scary. I didn't realize how much I cared for her until the moments come when she is in pain, and you don't know if she will live or not. Long story short the vet helped us out with 3 different meds and antibiotics and she is doing a lot better.
We love you Zoe and we are so glad to have you in our lives. May your days with our family be many!
