On New Years Eve we had ourselves another fine feast. We had king crab legs, baked potatoes, red lobster biscuits, sea food dip, shrimp cocktail and broccoli. After we were done eating we pulled out a bunch of snack food and started a building project.
Because Dayton loved the Lego building thing so much we decided to try a bigger project for New Years Eve. Walmart had a very small selection and of what they did have they only had the Mega Blocks brand.
Let me teach you one thing. Mega Blocks and Legos are not equal!!!. We were so upset that for both sets of mega blocks they were all put in one huge bag with meant it took more time to find each piece than it did to actually put them together. They also didn't go together very easy. You had to push so hard to get them to go together and once together it was almost impossible to get them apart. The instructions were hard to read and you practically had to look at the 2 or 3 steps ahead of the one you were on to know what pieces went. It all worked out in the end. It only took us 6 hours to do a project that would have only taken 1 hour with the Lego brand.
We had some sparkling cider when the clock turned over to 2013. We exchanged what our favorite parts were about 2012 and talked about what we wanted to do in 2013. We are excited to see what the new year brings for the Stott Family.
